1 lb of ground turkey chop meat (I like to use 93% lean)

1 red pepper or yellow

1 onion

2 garlic cloves

1 can of great northern beans, drained

1 28 oz can of diced tomato

8 oz vegetable or chicken broth

1 Tbsp chili powder

1/4 tsp ground pepper

1/8 tsp cinnamon

1/8 tsp oregano

3 bay leaves

salt to taste

Chop up pepper, onion and garlic. Heat 1 Tbsp of avocado oil in a skillet on medium heat. Then add in chopped ingredients. Stir and cook for about 2 minutes. Then add in turkey chop meat. Chop it by moving it around. Cook until brown. Add the can of diced tomatoes, beans and broth. Simmer for a few minutes and then add all spices. Cook for another 40 minutes. Stir every so often and add more broth if needed. You can top with diced avocado, shredded cheese and/or sour cream if you’d like. Enjoy!
